NEW WEBSITE

So the new, improved website has launched (it would be very cool if the cartoon’s mouth was moving on the home page…even though The Sez is just happy to still have the caricature…but I digress)….and while there were fresh posts for the 18th, The Blogger was stuck in writers bloc…in between gigs…some early Labor Day action…and then September baseball until camp starts in October (and by the way, all of you go to the back of the bleachers if you had not written off the Bombers in June…because if you say otherwise…then you thought they were bringing up Richard, not Jaba, Chamberlain from the minors…but I digress…again)...but The Flock was getting impatient…who’s working out…how are the pick-up games…who looks good…and the cartoon could only give trailers…Marcus, Boone, Hite, Malik, Sean W, Curly…then Antoine…then Boki…then Richard…and then…the Pied Piper. We saw him on TV from Vegas in August…but what a pleasure to see him once again pull into the players lot off Murray Hill…and when he walks into the gym…shooting, lifting, laughing and smiling…I envision the same feeling as the cast must feel when Jack walks onto the set…everything will be fine…our Leader is back.

It’s now seven years since that festive welcome…when the former Sun told the somewhat skeptical media that the Nets, the men of Jersey, could rise from the depths of their 26 win season and be at least .500…a mere gain of 15 on the left hand side of the ledger. And on that first day of camp, the pride of Alameda showed his new mates how a First Team All-NBA player goes about his business…by diving head first on the floor after a loose ball…game, set, match. And the fellas proceeded to rack up 52 on the 16W exit ramp, and the Swamp was no longer a joke. And as we suffer through some of the most gorgeous weather ever in the tri-state region( seriously…it’s been like living in San Diego…without the Zoo)….with The Bronx en fuego and the Flushing Faithful trying not to swallow the pits from their Big Apple…the balls are bouncing more frequently in the facility. One by one…the space in the locker room gets a little tighter. First the rookies…then the young vets…then the seasoned pros…and then The Captain. The Flock is restless…but enjoy the rays…because your Captain is back in the house.
